The aims of the Mazehouse project

First and foremost the investigation is aimed at getting to the truth of the reports of paranormal activity in The Maze House.

Given the absence of the owners of the house the investigators have an unparalleled opportunity to stay in the house for an extended period of time and so pursue the investigation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The aim of the investigation is to test whether the claims for paranormal occurrences have any grounds and to see if any of the sensations that have been experienced in the house can be reproduced.

The ultimate aim must be to acquire some kind of physical or reproducible evidence of paranormal activity - mostly likely video or audio evidence.

It must be stressed, however, that the team do not consider that the project will live or die by producing such evidence. The primary aim is for the team to assess the house and it is their assessment that will eventually count - while it might be useful to have evidence to show others - the witness of the team and the EMF monitor data is the primary source for any evaluation of success.

There is a secondary aim to the project, however. This is to examine the link between apparent paranormal events and EMF fluctuations. It is hoped that by gathering data from the EMF monitors positioned in the house and comparing them to the team's reports of paranormal experiences a full picture of the relationship between the two can be established.

Of course the secondary purpose is to be pursued wholly and only in support of the investigation of the house, which must take priority - in the end the aim is to investigate the house and to bring the collected EMF data to that.
